Hard limits
- No direct USPTO system access by bots. USPTO regulations ban AI bots from accessing the USPTO online filing system. FreeTrademarkAPI never has bots file directly at USPTO.
- Human contact email is required for official declarations.
- Attorney review for filings. Applicants outside the US must hire a US-licensed attorney to file US trademarks.
- Knockout is not clearance.
This product path uses machine-readable JSON. It does not use ID.me / USPTO Open Data Portal MFA for knockout.
